Shiseido cosmetics is expensive - a symbol of high quality and luxury.
But you know how it all began more than a hundred years?
The origin of the name Shiseido comes from the classic Chinese text "I Ching" ("Book of Changes") and means "the great virtues Prices Land cultivated brings new life and new values." Model of thinking that is the name of the company is "Eastern style, Western learning" and includes the determination to create a new culture, to create new business based on Western medicine and a name inspired by Eastern philosophy.
Beginning
Shiseido is emerging as the first Japanese Western-style pharmacy back in 1872, a time when Bulgaria was still under Ottoman rule, and the East, people are treated exclusively with herbs. Arinobu founder Fukuhar was a chief pharmacist in military hospital. He founded Shiseido because he was dissatisfied with the worst drugs on the market and decided to develop a system to distinguish from outpatient medical practices in Japan. At that time Arinobu is only 23 years old.
The first Japanese toothpaste
In 1888 Shiseido presented to the market first Japanese toothpaste. Until then, Japan has been used only toothpowder whose coarse particles are damaging the enamel. Unlike powder, toothpaste was soft and gentle, and its properties to fight tartar and bad breath were very innovative for its time. Sales of toothpaste gradually increased, although its price was about ten times higher than that of tooth powder.
The first cosmetic product of Shiseido
For the first time Shiseido said its claims to cosmetic indurstriya in 1897, when marketed face lotions "Eudermin" developed by Dr. Nagayoshi Nagai of the Tokyo Imperial University, who studied at Berlin University. By Shiseido want to develop high-quality cosmetic products based on scientific methods and research. From cosmetics to pharmaceuticals
